The biggest visual challenge on this Spider-Man film was designing what production codenamed S.U.E. - Super Uber Elemental. The creature ended up being an amalgam of the four elementals, which included water tentacles filled with fire and electrical energy. My department was also was charged with designing variations of the drone (led by Conceptual Artist Tim Ho, which ended up being over 50+ variations), stages of battle damage to Spider-Man’s suit during the drone battle, and designing the S.HI.E.L.D. headquarter set extensions, located inside the London Shard.
